Agilent Technologies is a measurement company for advanced electronics, communications, life sciences and chemical analysis. After a succesfully completed project we did for them (Mobile Phone), they contacted us again to create a screensaver, both for Linux and Windows systems.
Initially it started as a relatively simpel graphic animation of the functions of their software. And so we started to work together with somebody who had skills in basic animation. But at our second meeting the people of Agilent told us it would have to be more like an animation, so we had to put together a new team.
As the art directors we put together a new storyboard according to the briefing given to us. And we briefed the animators with how we saw the screensaver turn out. After a couple of other meetings with Agilent Technologies we got the animation just the way it had to be and we started working on adapting it to a screensaver. For windows we created the screensaver ourselves. For Linux we worked together with Linux developers.
In the end we delivered one nice animation in 4 color versions that could be used as a screensaver for either windows or Linux.
