Agilent Technologies is a measurement company for advanced electronics, communications, life sciences and chemical analysus. We were contacted by them to create a realistic 3d model of a mobile phone. They needed a phone to use as a demo-model in their software. It was a program that simulates the EM-waves emitted by the antenna, and the obstruction of these waves by all the components in the phone. Thus the phone had to be realistic both inside and out, so they could use it as a demo model. To get the best realistic result we took apart a couple of mobile phones and studied them carefully. Then we started modeling our phone to a level that was detailed enough, a state somewhere just before actual production engineers would start to work on it.
As a follow-up we were again cotacted by Agilent Technologies to make a screensaver for their new software program.
